Overview and Gameplay

Super Bowling turns lane position, aim, spin, and power timing into a straightforward SNES bowling game. Players choose one of four bowlers, select hand, ball weight, oil distance, and difficulty, then compete in Turkey Bowling, Golf Bowling, or Practice. Standard play follows 10-frame scoring, while Golf Bowling uses nine pin setups with par values, and Practice allows custom pin situations for shot training.

Controls And Mechanics

  • Each shot starts by choosing lane position, then aiming above the pins.
  • Players stop a spin meter and a power meter to control curve and ball speed.
  • Character style, ball weight, oil distance, spin, and timing all affect the roll.
  • Multiplayer is turn-based competitive bowling for local players, not simultaneous action or co-op.

Version Notes

This is the USA SNES release published by Technos, separate from the Japanese Athena release and the later Nintendo 64 game with the same title.
