Overview and Gameplay
A behind-the-goal field view gives Super Formation Soccer its identity, turning Human Entertainment’s early 16-bit soccer game into a fast vertical match built around positioning, passing, and shooting. Players choose from international teams, play exhibition matches, or enter the Human Cup and defeat the remaining teams with password-based progress.
Controls And Mechanics
- Players move, aim passes and kicks, select a passing target, and switch focus automatically to the player nearest the ball.
- Attacking play uses passes, directional kicks, and shots, while defense includes shoulder tackles and sliding tackles.
- Goalkeeper control can be automatic or manual, with jump, catch, and punch actions in goal situations.
- Two players can play simultaneously in versus matches or cooperate on the same team against the computer.
