Overview and Gameplay
Speed comes from stunts in Uniracers, a side-view SNES racer about riderless unicycles tearing through abstract tracks. Solo play pits the player against ghost racers, while two-player mode is direct competitive racing.
Tracks are split into Race, Circuit, and Stunt events. Tours progress through Bronze, Silver, and Gold opponents, with harder sets opening as the player clears events and improves results.
Controls And Mechanics
- Cleanly landed flips, rolls, and twists increase speed, while crashes cost time and momentum.
- Race and Circuit tracks focus on position, laps, and finish times.
- Stunt tracks reward acrobatics and score rather than simple first-place racing.
- Battery-backed memory saves player progress and race data.
- Two-player play is simultaneous versus racing, not cooperative play.
Version Notes
This is the U.S. SNES release titled Uniracers. The European PAL version is titled Unirally. The game is also known for a legal dispute that halted further cartridge production after its initial run.
