Overview and Gameplay
Val d’Isère Championship sends skiers and snowboarders down Mode 7-style mountain courses, where clean lines, speed control, and obstacle avoidance decide each run.
Players choose events such as Freeride, Training, Slalom, Giant Slalom, and Downhill. Runs are built around checkpoints, gates, best times, lives in competition, and passwords that let later challenges be resumed.
Controls And Mechanics
- B increases speed, while X slows the rider down.
- A is used to catch air and perform tricks.
- Y makes a hard turn, with L and R used for stronger mega turns.
- Two-player support is alternating play in Freeride and Compete, not simultaneous racing or co-op.
Version Notes
This is the European/PAL version titled Val d’Isère Championship. The North American release used the title Tommy Moe’s Winter Extreme: Skiing & Snowboarding.
