Overview and Gameplay
Aladdin crosses Agrabah, the Cave of Wonders, the Genie’s lamp and Jafar’s palace in this unlicensed NES adaptation of Capcom’s Super Famicom platformer. The journey combines side-scrolling stages, automatic-scrolling escapes, a magic-carpet sequence and boss encounters.
Aladdin runs, jumps, crouches, throws collectible apples and uses acrobatic moves to hang from objects, climb onto platforms and bounce past hazards. Passwords provide access to later stages, while a roulette-style bonus activity offers additional rewards.
Controls And Mechanics
- Use the directional pad to move, crouch and interact with climbable or overhead objects.
- Jumping, apple throwing and context-sensitive acrobatics are central to navigating each stage.
- Fast hazards, unusual physics and sprite flicker make later areas demanding.
- This version supports one player only.
Version Notes
Aladdin 4 is not a fourth official installment. It is a 1996 title-screen revision of Hummer Team’s unauthorized port, circulated under several names in the unlicensed Famicom market. This revision belongs to a family of mapper conversions that may reduce music, animation and visual effects compared with the original J.Y. Company cartridge.
