Overview and Gameplay
Earth faces destruction by the alien Increasers, sending Bashi Bazook back to 1999 to invade their colonies and defeat five ruling creatures. This unreleased NES action-platformer combines side-view combat with maze-like exploration across five areas filled with doors, elevators, shops, hidden routes, dark rooms, upgrades, and bosses.
Enemies drop money that also serves as ammunition for many special weapons. Exploring can improve Bashi’s health and equipment, but the Queen Vitality meter rises over time and strengthens the area’s boss, creating a tradeoff between preparation and speed.
Controls And Mechanics
- Directions: Move, crouch, crawl, enter doors, and operate elevators.
- A: Jump.
- B: Attack with the selected weapon.
- Start: Open the weapon-selection screen.
- Select: Pause.
Weapons include the Baby Heat Knife, Laser Disc, Bolo, Thundersword, Grenade, and Spud Gun. Movement is deliberate, enemies respawn, and the lack of an in-game map makes route planning important.
Version Notes
