Overview and Gameplay
In the year 2777, the island nation of Xexyz is conquered by the mechanical fortress Goruza, and Apollo sets out in a battle suit to rescue its queens and Princess Maria. Xexyz mixes side-scrolling action with shooting stages, shops, dialogue, bosses, and fantasy sci-fi weapons.
The game alternates between Action Mode and Shooting Mode. Apollo explores islands and castles on foot, enters doors, gathers energy balls, buys items, and collects weapons, then shifts into vehicle-based shooter sections with Mobile Armors and Cyborg Riders.
