Overview and Gameplay

Giga Zombie has revived defeated villains and scattered Nobita and his friends across time. Playing as a named boy or girl, you join Doraemon on a linear quest through Demon World, Undersea World, Underground World, and Ancient World.

Exploration uses top-down towns, overworlds, and dungeons, while random encounters lead to first-person, command-based battles. Defeating enemies raises each character’s courage level and improves energy, strength, and endurance. The party changes as Nobita, Suneo, Gian, and Shizuka are rescued.

Controls And Mechanics

  • Use the directional pad to move and navigate menus.
  • A opens the field command menu and confirms choices; B cancels or returns.
  • Start begins the game and opens the status screen. Select also opens status during play.
  • Doraemon’s 38 gadgets provide attacks, healing, protection, status effects, and field utilities.
  • Dorayaki powers gadgets and also serves as currency at exchange shops.
  • Items stored in the four-dimensional pocket must be assigned to party members before they can be used in battle.

Version Notes

This is the original Japanese Famicom release and the game’s only documented official commercial version. Doraemon: The Revenge of Giga Zombie is an unofficial English fan-translation title, not an official regional release.
