Overview and Gameplay
Gyrussian forces seize the Solar System in A.D. 2500, leaving one pilot to liberate ten destinations from Neptune to the Sun. The campaign contains 39 stages built around enemy formations, rotating central pods, bosses, and Chance Stages that award points and power-ups.
Defeating the final Sun boss completes the campaign and begins a harder loop.
Controls And Mechanics
The starfighter moves around the outer edge of a circular battlefield and fires toward enemies approaching from the center. The standard cannon can be upgraded from a single shot to double fire, while a separate energy blast pierces the center and uses a limited reserve.
Enemy contact and hostile projectiles destroy the current ship. Pickups can clear active enemies, award points, provide an extra ship, or refill the energy-blast supply. Chance Stages grant a large bonus for destroying every target and a separate special bonus for matching the displayed stage number.
Version Notes
The NES adaptation expands the arcade structure with 39 stages, additional planets, destination bosses, rotating-pod battles, two movement schemes, a limited energy weapon, and a defined ending.
