Overview and Gameplay
Splatterhouse: Wanpaku Graffiti follows Rick after lightning revives him beside his grave. When the Pumpkin King abducts Jennifer, Rick crosses seven side-scrolling stages filled with monsters, traps, doors, and boss encounters.
Rick attacks with an axe and can temporarily replace it with a shotgun carrying ten shots. Defeated enemies provide experience points, while bosses award larger amounts. Reaching the required total expands the life gauge and restores one health point. Four-digit passwords allow later stages to be resumed.
Controls And Mechanics
The directional pad moves Rick and enters doors, A jumps, and B swings the axe or fires the shotgun. Holding A produces a higher jump.
Candy restores one health point, hamburgers restore four, and additional shotguns refill ammunition. Losing the full life gauge causes game over, with limited continues available. Two hidden crystal balls unlock extra ending scenes.
Version Notes
This Famicom title presents Splatterhouse as a comic horror action game with super-deformed characters, original stages, platforming challenges, experience-based health growth, and horror-film parody scenes.
