Overview and Gameplay
Shadow Master threatens the world with a biological weapon, sending Billy and Jimmy Lee into a one-on-one fighting tournament based on the American Double Dragon animated series. This 1994 Genesis entry replaces the franchise’s usual cooperative beat ’em up action with fixed-arena battles between 12 fighters.
Tournament mode runs through 12 matches, while Quest mode follows either the heroes or Shadow Master’s warriors through separate story paths. Players can distribute points among three combat attributes before fighting. Matches use a best-of-five format, and certain finishing blows trigger character-specific Overkill animations.
