Overview and Gameplay
A demonic three-level pinball table forms the battlefield in Dragon’s Fury, Technosoft’s Genesis adaptation of the PC Engine game Devil Crash. Players launch a silver ball through scrolling sections filled with monsters, destructible targets, hidden passages, and supernatural table transformations.
The main objective combines high-score play with progression. Precise shots open six bonus stages, each featuring its own arena and enemies. Clearing them unlocks a seventh stage built around a final boss battle.
Controls And Mechanics
- The directions operate the left flipper, while B controls the right flipper and charges or releases the launcher.
- A nudges the table, but excessive shaking can trigger a tilt and temporarily disable the flippers.
- Two-player mode uses alternating turns for score competition rather than simultaneous play or co-op.
Version Notes
The USA and European releases share the title Dragon’s Fury. The Japanese Mega Drive version is named Devil Crash MD. Western editions replace or alter several occult symbols while retaining the main table, expanded bonus content, and Genesis-specific final stage.
