Overview and Gameplay
A routine monster-clearing job sends hunters Alys Brangwin and Chaz Ashley into a crisis spanning the Algo solar system. Phantasy Star IV combines science fantasy, manga-style story panels, planetary exploration, and fast turn-based combat in the concluding chapter of Sega’s original Phantasy Star saga.
Players explore towns, overworlds, dungeons, and technological ruins while gathering allies, upgrading equipment, earning levels, and completing optional Hunter’s Guild assignments. Battles support parties of up to five characters and use attacks, items, Techniques powered by TP, and limited-use Skills.
