Overview and Gameplay
The Sailor Guardians settle a comic contest for the lead role through one-on-one fights in this Japanese Super Famicom fighting game.
Based on Sailor Moon S, the game features side-view round-based combat with Sailor Moon, Mercury, Mars, Jupiter, Venus, Chibi Moon, Uranus, Neptune, and Pluto. Players use normal attacks, blocking, jumps, throws, special moves, desperation attacks, and character-specific abilities in tournament-style play or two-player versus matches.
Controls And Mechanics
- The four main attack buttons cover weak punch, strong punch, weak kick, and strong kick.
- Manual play uses fighting-game commands, while Easy mode gives shortcut access to special moves.
- Desperation moves become available under low-health or low-time conditions.
- The game includes throw escapes, reversals, guard cancels, backdash movement, and ability customization.
- Two-player mode is competitive versus fighting, not co-op.
Version Notes
- This is the Japanese Super Famicom release, with primarily Japanese menus and text.
