Overview and Gameplay

The damaged starship Swordfish is thrown across the galaxy after a blind jump during a pirate attack. Cyber Knight follows the surviving crew as they explore distant star systems, investigate alien worlds, and fight mechanical Berserkers in order to find a way home.

This science-fiction RPG mixes starship travel, planetary exploration, crew selection, and tactical robot combat. Before missions, the player chooses crew members to pilot combat Modules, then explores towns, ruins, hostile areas, and story locations across the galaxy.

Controls And Mechanics

  • Movement and menu navigation use the SNES directional controls and standard command selections.
  • Combat uses a 6×6 grid where three Modules position themselves and attack with melee, ranged weapons, and limited-use options.
  • Modules and pilots have separate durability, so both machine damage and pilot survival matter.
  • Defeated Berserkers can leave NeoParts, which are researched aboard the Swordfish to improve weapons and Module performance.
  • The game is single-player only.
