Overview and Gameplay
The final days of the world are shown from both sides: Rukyu, the demon lord of darkness, and the resurrected hero Falco, who moves to stop him. Westone’s Super Famicom RPG stands out for alternating chapters between villain and hero, with a dark tone and isometric turn-based battles.
Players explore towns, dungeons, and event areas, trigger story scenes, fight random encounters, manage items and magic, and advance through chapter-based scenarios toward the conflict between the two halves of the story.
Controls And Mechanics
- Combat uses turn-based battles with movement and positioning on isometric square-based fields.
- Rukyu uses Soul Power as a central resource, while Falco’s side uses magic and battle rewards differently.
- Both sides can have party members and different scenario goals.
- Saving is handled through save points and scenario progress.
- The game is single-player only.
