Overview and Gameplay
The first three classic Wizardry scenarios are gathered into one Super Famicom dungeon-crawling RPG. Players create a party, choose races and classes, explore first-person mazes, survive turn-based battles, collect treasure, and return to town for healing, resurrection, trading, and character management. Scenario-to-scenario transfer lets adventurers continue through the Llylgamyn trilogy.
Controls And Mechanics
- Party building: race, class, alignment, stats, equipment, and spells shape each adventurer.
- Dungeon play: mazes use menu-driven movement, mapping, traps, treasure, and dangerous encounters.
- Combat: battles are turn-based, with attacks, spells, items, and survival management at the center.
- Improvements: this SFC version adds cleaner interface features, automap support, sorting, and item-handling refinements.
- Players: single-player only.
Version Notes
This is the Japan-only Nintendo Power Super Famicom release with the AGTP English translation v1.00 applied. The translation patch is not an official western cartridge release.
