Overview and Gameplay
John Spartan hunts Simon Phoenix through a 16-bit action version of the film’s 1996 and 2032 conflicts. Demolition Man mixes side-view run-and-gun stages with top-down shooter sections.
Spartan fights through rooftops, city areas, and building interiors using firearms, grenades, freeze vials, armor, health pickups, and extra lives. Some top-down stages require rescuing hostages to open locked routes and continue the mission.
Controls And Mechanics
- Side-view stages focus on running, jumping, climbing, crouching, rolling, aiming, and shooting.
- Top-view stages change the action to directional shooting across wider rooms.
- Weapons include a handgun, shotgun, magnum, grenades, flame grenades, and freeze vials.
- This is a single-player game with limited lives and continues.
