Alex’s quiet life in Rysis is shattered when Katarina is kidnapped by a mysterious wizard, sending him across a dangerous world tied to the legacy of Drakkhen. This SNES action RPG combines a first-person overworld with side-view town, dungeon, and combat areas.
Players explore the map, enter towns and dungeons, fight enemies directly, collect equipment and items, gain experience, find HP and magic upgrades, and follow Alex’s search for Katarina.
Controls And Mechanics
- Side-view areas use direct movement, jumping, weapon attacks, item use, and menu management.
- The overworld uses a first-person view for travel between locations.
- Weapons include swords and later tools such as a boomerang and bow.
- Magic rings, special sword techniques, upgrades, and hidden locations expand progression.
- The game is single-player only.

This is the USA SNES release titled Dragon View. The Japanese Super Famicom version was released as Super Drakkhen.
