Overview and Gameplay
The Battletoads join Billy and Jimmy Lee to stop the Dark Queen, the Shadow Boss, and the Colossus in a crossover beat ’em up built from brawling, platforming, and shooter-style sections. Players choose from five heroes and fight through varied stages filled with enemies, hazards, bonus pods, bosses, and score-based action.
Controls And Mechanics
- Five selectable characters: Zitz, Rash, Pimple, Billy Lee, and Jimmy Lee
- Close-range attacks chain into heavy finishing hits
- Running attacks, jumps, pickups, and stage-specific actions change the flow of each level
- Some sections shift away from standard brawling into vehicle or firing challenges
- Two-player simultaneous co-op lets both players fight through the campaign together
