Overview and Gameplay
The Dark Queen has joined forces with Double Dragon villain Shadow Boss, forcing Rash, Zitz, Pimple, Billy Lee, and Jimmy Lee into one unlikely team. This original 1993 NES release is a seven-stage, belt-scrolling brawler built around enemy waves, hazards, bosses, and frequent changes of pace.
Players fight through the Colossus using punches, kicks, throws, running attacks, weapons, and character-specific finishing animations. The campaign also includes Speeder Bike obstacles, rope and cable sections, a multidirectional Space Pod battle, and a missile race. Each hero has six energy units, while Bonus Pods can provide health, points, weapons, or an extra life.
Controls And Mechanics
- The directional pad moves the hero, A jumps, and B performs context-sensitive attacks.
- Double-tapping left or right starts a run and enables stronger charge attacks.
- Vehicle and rope stages adapt the controls to steering, jumping, kicking, thrusting, firing, and dismounting.
- Two players can fight simultaneously in co-op, with separate modes for enabled or disabled friendly fire.
