Overview and Gameplay
A commando is dropped onto Terror Island to fight through enemy bases, vehicles, turrets, and fortified positions. GunForce: Battle Fire Engulfed Terror Island is a side-scrolling run-and-gun shooter converted from Irem’s arcade game, with the SNES version built around forward movement, weapon pickups, vehicles, mission objectives, and end-stage battles.
Controls And Mechanics
- The standard weapon has unlimited fire, while stronger pickups such as flamethrowers, lasers, and other heavy weapons use limited ammunition.
- Players move and aim with the directional pad, fire, jump, and pause during missions.
- Difficulty can be selected before play.
- A second player can join for simultaneous co-op action.
Version Notes
This is the European PAL SNES release. It is an English-language home conversion of the 1991 arcade game, not a prototype, hack, or translation build.
