Overview and Gameplay
A Clan Wolf pilot takes a Mad Cat Heavy OmniMech into isometric BattleTech missions set during the year 3050. The game mixes mech combat, objective hunting, weapon loadouts, radar navigation, heat management, and damage control across mission-based battlefields.
Controls And Mechanics
- The Mad Cat uses three weapon categories: heavy ordnance, main gun, and tactical weapons.
- Heat and damage are separate threats, and either one can destroy the mech if pushed too far.
- Radar marks enemies, objectives, buildings, destroyed targets, and supply pickups.
- L and R rotate the torso, letting the mech move one way while firing another.
- Two-player co-op splits the same mech between weapon control and driving.
Version Notes
This is the European SNES release under the MechWarrior 3050 title. The related Genesis version is commonly known as BattleTech: A Game of Armored Combat.
