Overview and Gameplay
King attacks Dr. Light’s lab and the Robot Museum, forcing two rival heroes into the same late-era Super Famicom mission. Rockman & Forte is a classic-series Mega Man platform shooter built around choosing either Rockman or Forte before the adventure begins.
Players clear side-scrolling stages, defeat robot masters, earn special weapons, collect bolts for shop items, and hunt 100 character CDs. Routes open gradually after the intro stage, and each hero changes how stages are approached.
Controls And Mechanics
- Directions move the character and cursor.
- Y fires; Rockman can charge shots, while Forte uses rapid multi-direction fire.
- B jumps. Rockman can slide, while Forte can double jump.
- A gives Forte a dash, and L or R cycles weapons.
- This is a single-player platform game with no verified multiplayer mode.
Version Notes
This is the Japanese Super Famicom original with an English translation patch. The later official English title is Mega Man & Bass, but this version’s original title is Rockman & Forte.
