Overview and Gameplay
King steals battle-robot data and begins building an army, sending Rockman and Forte after his forces. A new save starts with a permanent choice between the two heroes. Each route begins at the Robot Museum, opens into branching Robot Master stages, and continues through security trials and fortress areas. Defeating bosses grants eight special weapons, while 100 hidden character CDs fill a database across separate Rockman and Forte save files.
Controls And Mechanics
Rockman fires a chargeable buster and slides beneath obstacles. Forte fires rapid shots in seven directions, dashes, performs dash jumps, and can double-jump. Both characters use acquired boss weapons, but their movement abilities reveal different routes and collectibles. Enemies and stages supply life energy, weapon energy, extra lives, and bolts. Bolts buy consumables and character-specific upgrades in Dr. Light’s shop, whose inventory expands after additional Robot Masters fall. Losing all life energy costs a life; running out of lives returns the player to the continue flow.
