Overview and Gameplay

Dr. Wily crashes a televised soccer match by replacing the players with Robot Masters, so Dr. Light sends Rockman and his robot team onto the field. Rockman’s Soccer turns the Mega Man cast into an overhead eight-a-side soccer game.

Modes include Exhibition, Capcom Cup, Tournament, and League. In Capcom Cup, defeated teams add one robot to the reserve roster, and passwords continue progress.

Controls And Mechanics

  • Directions move players and select menu options.
  • Y passes, B shoots, and A clears, centers, or performs a shoulder tackle depending on possession and position.
  • X performs a slide tackle, Select shows radar, and Start pauses or confirms.
  • Special shots use each robot’s powers and can knock down opponents hit by the ball.
  • Two-player modes support competitive play and cooperative play against computer teams.
