Overview and Gameplay
Dr. Wily disrupts a soccer match by replacing the players with Robot Masters, so Mega Man takes the fight onto the field. This SNES sports spinoff uses top-down soccer rules with Mega Man characters, team formations, special shots, and modes such as Exhibition, Capcom Cup, Tournament, and League.
Controls And Mechanics
- Matches use passing, shooting, clearing, tackles, goalkeepers, team formations, and score-based soccer play.
- Each Robot Master has a special shot that can blast toward goal and briefly disable players it hits.
- Capcom Cup works as the story mode, letting Mega Man defeat Robot Master teams and recruit one robot from each beaten side.
- Exhibition supports solo play, two-player versus, and two players teaming up against the computer.
Version Notes
This is the USA SNES release under the Mega Man Soccer title. The Japanese release is known as RockMan’s Soccer.
