Overview and Gameplay
Kevin boards the damaged SS Lucifer to rescue passengers trapped in flooded ship holds. Rather than controlling every survivor, the player guides Kevin through puzzle rooms, opens routes, handles hazards, and gets enough passengers to the exits before too many are lost.
Controls And Mechanics
- Kevin can move, climb, crawl along pipes, jump, drop bombs, operate switches, pick up objects, and repair leaking pipes.
- Passengers may fall into water and need help, while oxygen bottles and a single rescue dinghy can keep rescues alive.
- Levels track passengers saved, remaining rescue targets, score, lives, and Kevin’s air supply. Passwords let progress continue after sets of stages.
Version Notes
This is the European PAL SNES release of S.O.S. Sink or Swim. The wider game is also associated with titles such as Sink or Swim and Man Overboard! on other platforms, but this SNES version uses the S.O.S. title.
