Overview and Gameplay
Morticia’s magic traps Spanky inside a tower-filled adventure where fruit has turned into enemies. Spanky’s Quest is a side-view puzzle-platform game about collecting keys, opening exits, and clearing six towers with boss battles along the way.
The core trick is Spanky’s magic ball: throw it upward, bounce it on his head to enlarge it, then pop it into sports-ball attacks that can defeat enemies and recover keys.
Controls And Mechanics
- Stages are cleared by gathering the required keys and entering the exit door.
- The ball can become baseball, soccer ball, volleyball, or basketball attacks depending on its size.
- Hats grant temporary effects such as slower falling, extra protection, faster movement, or easier ball handling.
- Passwords allow progress after clearing towers.
- The SNES version is single-player only.
