Overview and Gameplay
Clint and Annie take a revenge job across a sci-fi western frontier, blasting outlaws, robots, and huge bosses from a foreground shooting-gallery viewpoint. Wild Guns mixes fast aiming, dodging, score items, destructible scenery, and stage-by-stage boss fights, with its two heroes fighting side by side in simultaneous co-op.
Controls And Mechanics
- Movement and aiming: the directions move the character and aim the gun sight, depending on whether the player is firing.
- Action: Y fires, handles close attacks, throws dynamite back, and can be tapped for the lasso.
- Dodging: B jumps, a second B performs a double jump, and firing into a jump creates a slide dodge.
- Weapons: X uses bombs, while item boxes can award temporary guns, score items, bombs, or the powerful Vulcan Gun gauge reward.
