Overview and Gameplay
Cartoon drivers trade punches while racing for position in Street Racer, a SNES arcade racer from Vivid Image and Ubisoft. The game mixes kart-style racing with vehicle combat across tracks, cups, and side modes such as Rumble and Soccer.
Championship mode is the main progression, with points awarded for finishing position and bonuses such as fastest laps, collected stars, attacks, and clean driving. Damage affects performance, while repair kits and turbo use can turn a race around.
Controls And Mechanics
- Driving: use the directions to steer, brake, reverse, and jump.
- Racing tools: B accelerates, Y uses turbo in races, and repair kits restore damage.
- Combat: X performs a front attack, A performs a side attack, and L or R punches to the left or right.
- Multiplayer: competitive play includes head-to-head races, arena-style Rumble, and Soccer mode; it is not co-op.
