Overview and Gameplay
Thirteen kidnapped children, including Cyan, are trapped by The Mad One, sending Al Simmons into a dark side-scrolling fight as Spawn. Todd McFarlane’s Spawn: The Video Game mixes comic-book brawling with platforming, bosses, passwords, and stages set across city, asylum, darkland, and hell-themed areas.
Controls And Mechanics
- Spawn uses light and heavy punches, light and heavy kicks, blocking, dashing, crouching, jumping, and cape gliding.
- Wall movement and pit hazards make platforming a regular part of the action.
- Special command moves use Spawn’s finite necroplasm power, so careless use can make later fights harder.
- The SNES version is single-player only, with no versus or co-op mode.
