Overview and Gameplay
Gekitou Burning Pro Wrestling is a Japan-only Super Famicom wrestling game built around a large fictional roster, promotion-based competition, and timing-driven grapples. Matches focus on strikes, lockups, throws, pins, submissions, running attacks, and turnbuckle moves, with progression centered on winning through the World Unification mode.
Controls And Mechanics
- Wrestlers move around the ring, close distance, and enter lockups to trigger grapple opportunities.
- Light, medium, and strong attacks change function by situation, covering strikes, grapples, counters, dives, and grounded attacks.
- Running and Irish whip actions create space for momentum-based attacks.
- Downed opponents can be pinned, attacked, dragged, or put into submission holds.
- Two-player play supports direct competitive wrestling matches.
