Overview and Gameplay
The Life Foundation creates five dangerous symbiote offspring from Venom, pushing Spider-Man and Venom into another uneasy alliance. Venom – Spider-Man: Separation Anxiety is a side-scrolling SNES beat ’em up where the heroes fight through city, bridge, woods, underground, and bunker-style stages.
Players battle enemies and bosses, manage energy meters and lives, collect health and extra-life items, uncover hidden areas, and use passwords to continue progress.
Controls And Mechanics
- Spider-Man and Venom can walk, run, move in and out of the screen, jump, punch, pick up enemies or objects, and throw them.
- Web bolts, web shields, web lines, wall-crawling, and swinging shape movement and combat.
- Cameo icons summon assists from Marvel heroes such as Captain America, Ghost Rider, Hawkeye, and Daredevil.
- Two-player mode is simultaneous co-op, with one player as Spider-Man and the other as Venom.
Version Notes
This is the European PAL SNES retail release. It is the sequel to Spider-Man & Venom: Maximum Carnage and is separate from the Genesis and PC versions.
