Overview and Gameplay
Morgan Adams searches for the pieces of a treasure map while fighting through pirate enemies on the way to Cutthroat Island. This SNES movie adaptation is a side-scrolling action game built around sword fighting, brawling, stage hazards, and cooperative play.
The player controls Morgan in solo play or Morgan and Shaw in two-player mode. Stages send the characters through pirate-themed areas where they defeat enemies, collect weapons and items, open locked paths, and push toward the hidden treasure.
Controls And Mechanics
- Combat uses sword attacks, brawling strikes, blocking, jumping, throws, and special moves.
- The options screen lets players choose between Swordplay and Brawling fighting styles.
- The Aggression Indicator builds through successful hits and enables special moves when it flashes.
- Weapons and items include knives, bombs, bottles, torches, hammers, pistols, food, keys, medicine, and extra lives.
- A second player can join as Shaw for cooperative play.
