Overview and Gameplay
The TCS Tiger’s Claw sends rookie Confederation pilots into the Kilrathi war in this SNES port of Origin’s space-combat game. Between missions, the player visits shipboard rooms, speaks with crew, checks rank and medals, and receives briefings. In flight, the action shifts to first-person cockpit combat with nav points, enemy fighters, missiles, guns, shields, armor, fuel, radar, and wingman commands.
Controls And Mechanics
- Cockpit combat: steer the fighter, fire guns and missiles, use afterburners, manage displays, and track targets.
- Ship systems: guns draw from rechargeable blaster power, missiles are limited, shields regenerate, and armor damage is lasting.
- Mission play: objectives, wingman survival, promotions, medals, and campaign progress matter more than score.
- Players: single-player only, with no alternating, simultaneous, versus, or co-op mode.
