Overview and Gameplay
Binary Land follows penguins Gurin and Malon through a magical mirror maze. Each timed stage begins with them separated on opposite sides of a central wall. Guide both penguins to the caged heart at the top and make them arrive together. The two maze halves differ, so one penguin may stop against a wall while the other continues moving. Bonus stages begin on stage 3 and recur every five stages, placing one penguin in a web and adding hearts to collect.
Controls And Mechanics
The directional pad moves the selected penguin normally while the partner mirrors horizontal movement; both move in the same vertical direction. A or B fires a short ray from both penguins, destroying spiders and webs. A web immobilizes one penguin until the other reaches it and shoots it free. Touching a spider or fire, letting the timer expire, or trapping both penguins costs a chance.
Destroying spiders and webs awards points, collectible items add score, and remaining time contributes a stage bonus. The whale card grants temporary speed and invincibility, while a hidden penguin item awards an extra chance.
