Overview and Gameplay
Bo Jackson headlines a detailed baseball game built around city-based teams and fictional rosters. Players choose a starting pitcher, arrange the batting order, make substitutions, and control every pitch, swing, base-running decision, and fielding play. Games can last five to nine innings, with Little League, Big League, and All Star difficulty settings.
The Play Offs mode places four division representatives into two opening series and a championship series. Series lengths can be best-of-three, best-of-five, or best-of-seven, while quick simulation resolves computer-controlled games.
Controls And Mechanics
- Pitching: The directional pad selects pitch types and helps shape movement. Directional input with A determines pitch speed, while B handles pickoff throws.
- Batting: A performs normal, power, contact, or directional bunt swings depending on the directional input.
- Running: Direction plus B advances or steals, while direction plus A sends a runner back.
- Fielding: Move the active fielder with the directional pad. A jumps, dives, and throws toward a selected base.
- Multiplayer: Two players compete head-to-head, controlling opposing teams and switching between offense and defense by half-inning.
