Overview and Gameplay

The Devil controls the maze itself, pointing in a direction and forcing the whole playfield to scroll. As Tamagon, you collect crosses to clear Boa-Boa dots, then carry four Bibles to the central Devil hole while avoiding enemies and the screen edges. Contact with a hostile creature or being crushed costs a life. The three-scene cycle includes a bonus round, and difficulty rises across 16 rounds and 46 scenes.

Controls And Mechanics

  • Directions: Start Tamagon moving continuously through a corridor; turns can be queued before junctions.
  • A or B: Breathe fire while carrying a cross or Bible. Fire can transform Medaman into food and disrupt other enemies.
  • Start: Begin, pause, or resume play. Select: Choose one or two players.
  • Two players share the same maze at once, working toward the same objectives while remaining able to interfere with each other.

Version Notes

This European PAL-B edition uses a region-specific PAL-DD-0 program ROM while sharing its graphics ROM with the Japanese releases. Its crosses, Bibles, and Devil imagery remain intact.
