Overview and Gameplay
Elevator Action follows Agent 17, code name Otto, as he infiltrates a guarded 30-floor building. Each round begins on the roof and requires Otto to enter every red door, collect the secret documents inside, and reach the getaway car in the basement. Elevators and escalators connect the floors, while blue doors release armed enemy agents. Reaching the garage with documents still missing sends Otto back toward the highest remaining red door.
Controls And Mechanics
Otto walks, ducks under gunfire, jumps across elevator shafts, controls occupied elevators, and shoots guards with his pistol. Landing on an enemy during a jump performs a kick. Elevator cars and falling ceiling lamps can crush guards, while broken lamps temporarily darken the building. Enemies defeated during a blackout award additional points.
A life is lost when Otto is shot, falls down a shaft, or is crushed by an elevator. Documents award 500 points, and clearing a building grants a bonus based on the number of completed rounds. Two-player mode alternates control whenever the active participant loses a life.
