Overview and Gameplay
Super Mario Bros. / Duck Hunt / World Class Track Meet opens with a menu for three complete NES games. Super Mario Bros. sends Mario through eight worlds of timed platform stages to rescue Princess Toadstool. Duck Hunt offers one-duck, two-duck, and clay-shooting modes with ten targets per round. World Class Track Meet uses the Power Pad for the 100-meter dash, 110-meter hurdles, long jump, triple jump, Tournament, and Olympics competition.
Controls And Mechanics
In Super Mario Bros., the D-pad moves Mario, A jumps, and B runs or throws fireballs after collecting a Fire Flower. Mushrooms increase Mario’s size, Stars grant temporary invincibility, and 100 coins award an extra life. Two-player mode alternates turns between Mario and Luigi.
Duck Hunt uses the NES Zapper to shoot ducks or clay pigeons. Each target sequence allows three shots, and the player must meet the round’s hit quota to continue. In Game A, a second participant can steer the duck with a controller while the first shoots.
World Class Track Meet reads running and jumping from Power Pad Side B. Races are decided by time, jumps by distance, and false starts or repeated fouls can cause disqualification. Up to six participants may register, with two competing simultaneously in races.
