Overview and Gameplay
Tetris 2 + BomBliss contains two related falling-block games. Tetris offers A-Type endless scoring, B-Type challenges that require 25 cleared lines, and C-Type play with garbage rows rising from below. BomBliss replaces ordinary line removal with bomb blocks that detonate when their row is completed.
Controls And Mechanics
Pieces move horizontally, descend faster with down input, and rotate in either direction. BomBliss explosions remove nearby blocks, and unsupported pieces fall afterward. Four small bombs arranged in a square create a larger bomb with a wider blast.
Contest mode presents preset boards to clear with limited pieces, while Puzzle mode uses fixed piece sequences. Construction mode lets the player create, test, and save custom puzzles. Two-player Tetris runs simultaneously; clearing lines raises garbage on the opponent’s field, and the first participant to earn three wins takes the match.
Version Notes
This 1991 Famicom release includes three Tetris rule sets, competitive two-player play, and BomBliss Contest, Puzzle, and Construction modes on one cartridge.
