Overview and Gameplay
A young Hero leaves Aliahan to complete the quest of the missing warrior Ortega and defeat the archfiend Baramos. Dragon Warrior III is a large party-based NES RPG built around overworld exploration, towns, dungeons, random encounters, and turn-based battles.
You recruit up to three companions from several vocations, including Soldier, Fighter, Merchant, Pilgrim, Wizard, and Goof-off. Experience, equipment, spells, and later class changes shape each party member. A day and night cycle changes shops, characters, and some enemy activity, while keys, a ship, and six mystical orbs gradually open the world.
