Overview and Gameplay
Prince Steven trades clothes with an identical-looking beggar named Tom, only to be locked out of his own castle while the Cat Minister advances a plot against the Kingdom of Shatt. Beggar Prince is a single-character fantasy RPG built around top-down exploration, environmental puzzles, treasure hunting, and random isometric battles.
Steven gains experience, learns magic, and automatically equips weapons and armor found during the largely linear quest. There are no shops, currency, or permanent party members. Progress depends on story objectives, character levels, spells, equipment upgrades, and careful use of restorative items.
