Overview and Gameplay
The MF-92GX Halbard fighter is sent against BioMetal, a half-biological, half-mechanical force threatening to overrun the galaxy.
This is a horizontal scrolling shooter with six stages, fast enemy waves, weapon pods, boss fights, and a distinctive GAM weapon system. The player upgrades plasma fire and missiles while using the GAM as both protection and offense, making timing and energy management central to survival.
Controls And Mechanics
- The Halbard moves through auto-scrolling stages while firing forward weapons and missiles.
- Weapon pods upgrade shots such as Vulcan, Laser, Wide Beam, Straight, Bend, and Homing missiles.
- The GAM can orbit as a shield, spread outward, or launch as an attack, but it drains energy while active.
- Difficulty settings include Easy, Normal, and Hard.
- The game is single-player only.
Version Notes
- The European and North American versions use licensed music associated with 2 Unlimited, unlike the Japanese version’s original soundtrack.
