Overview and Gameplay
Dr. Harvey has been turned into ectoplasm, and Casper must guide Kat through Whipstaff Manor to reach the Lazarus Machine. Casper is a late SNES action-adventure based on the film, focused on exploration, morph items, hazards, and room-to-room puzzle solving.
Casper searches the manor for seven Cellular Integrator capsules while protecting Kat and using ghost powers to pass obstacles. Progress depends on finding the right item form for each situation, from keys and ropes to balloons and wiring movement.
Controls And Mechanics
- The directional pad moves Casper around the manor.
- A makes Casper invisible, using ectoplasmic energy.
- Y morphs Casper into or out of selected inventory items.
- B uses moving morph actions, while L and R cycle the inventory backward or forward.
- Casper has health, lives, score, and OOZ energy, and defeated hazards can drop energy.
Version Notes
This is the European PAL SNES release of the side-scrolling Casper game. It is separate from the different PlayStation, Saturn, 3DO, PC, and Japanese Super Famicom versions.
