Overview and Gameplay
Viruses fill a bottle while Dr. Mario drops two-colored capsules from above. The player rotates and places each capsule to line up four matching colors, clearing viruses until the bottle is clean.
Each round begins with a chosen virus level, speed, and music setting. Higher levels add more viruses, faster speeds increase pressure, and the game ends if capsules stack to the top before the viruses are cleared.
Controls And Mechanics
- Capsules can be moved sideways, dropped faster, and rotated in either direction.
- Clearing multiple viruses at once gives higher score rewards.
- Capsule speed rises after every tenth capsule in play.
- Two-player mode is versus play, with both players racing to clear their own bottle and interfere with the opponent.
Version Notes
This is the Japan-only Super Famicom Nintendo Power rewrite-service release. It is a standalone Dr. Mario release, not the full Tetris & Dr. Mario compilation.
