Overview and Gameplay
Faceball 2000 turns the MIDI Maze concept into a first-person SNES maze shooter. The player controls a HAPPYFACE, tags Smiloids, collects pods, and navigates flat-shaded corridors in CyberZone and Arena modes.
Controls And Mechanics
- CyberZone has 41 levels, with exits opening after enough Smiloids are tagged.
- Arena matches are won by reaching 10 tags first, either against computer opponents or another player.
- Pods can contain shields, freeze effects, camo, sensor upgrades, lives, and other power-ups.
- Two players can play in versus or team-style modes, with no split-screen modern FPS movement.
