Overview and Gameplay
Benjamin sets out after monsters steal the four elemental Crystals from the Focus Tower, leaving the world damaged by disasters. Final Fantasy: Mystic Quest is a streamlined SNES RPG built around clear routes, visible map locations, turn-based battles, and light dungeon actions.
Controls And Mechanics
- Explore towns and dungeons, talk to characters, open chests, and use field weapons to clear obstacles.
- Battles use menu commands for attacks, spells, items, defense, running, and ally control.
- The hero usually travels with one companion, who can be controlled manually or left on automatic battle behavior.
- Battlefield icons on the map contain fixed fights that reward experience, gold, or items when cleared.
Version Notes
This is the USA Revision A version of the SNES release. The same game was released in Japan as Final Fantasy USA: Mystic Quest and in Europe as Mystic Quest Legend.
