Overview and Gameplay
An underground army has stolen advanced military hardware and built a drone force beneath a volcanic island. Firepower 2000 sends a helicopter and a jeep into a vertical-scrolling campaign of tanks, aircraft, turrets, bases, and bosses.
Players choose a fast helicopter that flies over ground hazards or a slower jeep that can aim in all directions and jump. The mission crosses deserts, jungles, riverbeds, air bases, volcanoes, and the enemy complex while collecting stronger weapons and special attacks.
Controls And Mechanics
- The helicopter moves freely over obstacles but mainly fires forward.
- The jeep can aim its turret in different directions and jump, but ground obstacles affect its route.
- Permanent weapons include bullets, flame, plasma, laser, and ionic shots, with upgrades and power loss after death.
- Two players can fight together in simultaneous co-op, using the two vehicles as complementary roles.
